Tate is anxiously awaiting the arrival of Grandpa Miller! Todd's parents are coming to visit next week from Ohio and Todd just bought Tate a new fishing pole and planned a day of fly fishing in Ellensburg for the boys. Here are Todd and Tate practicing...

Guess who?
Can you guess which one is Tate and which is Cole? Unfortunately the hair gives it away. Both pictures were taken at between 4 and 5 weeks. You can see Cole has a lot more meat on his bones than his older brother did. The picture on the left was the very first picture I took of Tate with my new camera.

One Month Old
![]() |
| New Friend |
Wow - one month old already? I feel like we just left the hospital! For his one month birthday Cole gave us a gift, he had a 5 hour stretch of sleep last night! To bad I still woke up after 2 1/2 hours, pretty sure my body is programed since he's been waking up every 2 1/2 hours on the dot all night since birth. He's still not doing much besides eating and sleeping but starting to have some awake time first thing in the morning and in the evening.
Cole is the easy one in the house right now! Tate has been a bit of a handful. He loves his little brother and loves to kiss him but he's being quite testy with mom and dad. We know this is normal and will pass, his world was just rocked, he is no longer the one and only center of our attention but boy are we looking forward to this stage ending. :)

Happy Father's Day!
We enjoyed a perfect Father's Day yesterday. Todd went on a mountain bike ride in the morning with some friends, then we had my parents over for a BBQ. It was low-key - lots of baby holding, pictures and enjoying each other's company...perfect!

School's Out for Summer!!
Tate's first year of preschool has come to an end! He absolutely LOVED preschool this year. He loves all of his classmates, especially the boys and often says, "I had fun with my men's today" when I pick him up. And we all LOVE his teachers - Miss Sandy and Miss Leslie, they are so warm, supportive and loving, we are so excited that Tate will have the exact same teachers next year!
For Tate's last day of school they invited all the parents for a performance of a few songs followed by cake and the teachers handed out diplomas and adorable "Memory Books" - individual scrap books of photos and projects for each child.

All Alone!
We were so fortunate to have Todd home for a week and a half after Cole arrived! Today was his first day back at work and my first entire day home with both boys. It unfortunately rained all day so we couldn't even get to the park around the corner. We are not quite ready to do more than that but will very soon. We survived but I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning when Tate has preschool. :)
This is what our day looked like by 10:00am...Tate naked tearing the sofa pillows up making forts. Will my child ever keep his clothes on?
Tate was excited to help give Cole his first bath!
First Week at Home
Three Days Old...
Trying to get a cute picture of my boys and Tate would rather do tricks...
Finally a good picture!
Nine days old! Amazing how much his face has filled out in one week!
I came downstairs one morning to find two of my favorite boys making me a big breakfast!
He's Here!!

6 pounds, 9 ounces, 19 inches
Tate meeting baby Cole...a little unsure...
Proud grandparents.
I realized after creating this post that we need to get some pictures with Todd and I and the baby. :)
We can't believe he is finally here!
My labor and delivery at Overlake Hospital could not have gone better, it was a completely different experience than with Tate. Overlake has a system! We checked in for induction at 6:00am and the process began before 7:00am. By 10:00am there was still no action so the doctor broke my water. Contractions started soon and before I could even think of asking I had an epidural. There were only a few spells of painful contractions throughout the day but before long it was time to push and after only 10-20 minutes of that he was here!!
When the nurse called out "6 pounds, 9 ounces", Todd and I both exclaimed, "whoa that's huge" and the doctor and nurses laughed telling us that was still a "petite" baby. We were comparing Cole to Tate at 5 pounds when he arrived.
