First Cleaning

Last week we headed to Greenlake Kids Dentistry for Tate's first teeth cleaning. Tate has been to the dentist twice before as a result of falling and almost knocking his front teeth out. The injury was traumatic for Tate and more so for mom but Dr. Hull and his staff was so amazing, we are more than willing to make the 45 minute drive to continue as patients at his office. When I told Tate we were going back to the dentist he was EXCITED and immediately started talking about the toys in the waiting room - he remembered every detail about the Thomas the Train blocks and Star Wars Potato Heads, pretty amazing since we hadn't been there in three months. The toys were so fun we had to stay for 15 minutes after the appointment and play and it would have been even longer if I didn't bribe him with the Zoo and Zeke's pizza for lunch.

A Day Out with Thomas

Saturday we headed to the annual "A Day Out With Thomas" at the Snoqualmie train station. They bring in a "real" Thomas engine and hook it up to their train so you can actually ride Thomas. The weather could not have been worse, it was pouring the entire time but it did not seem to scare of the crowds and we had a great time seeing how much fun Tate had.

Friday Play-Date

Apparently Tate is not the only one who likes to be naked. We had some friends over last Friday for a play-date and JJ decided he wanted to get naked and play in the pool...and stay naked for lunch. This picture is so funny because the kids don't notice or care.

Nakey

The naked stage is in full swing in our house. Every time we turn around Tate is stripping down saying, "I'm going to be nakey". He's even asked Todd and I a few times, "be nakey with me"... he wants us all to hang out naked I guess? We've been giving in and just letting him do his thing because whenever he is naked he is 100% potty trained! He runs to the potty every time, but when he has a diaper on he's not as interested. Today I captured just a few shots of him doing various things in the buff. It is a very good thing none of the neighbors can see into our house or yard.

Happy 4th of July!

Our new hometown Snoqualmie Ridge is the place to be for the 4th of July! The morning started off with a huge kids parade! Every kid in town had their bike, wagon or big wheel decorated and I didn't know what to expect but we had the only stroller not decorated...will definitely remember next time! After the parade everyone heads to the center of the community for bounce houses, pony and train rides, concessions, tattoo's...it was quite the celebration!

That evening our next door neighbors invited us to their annual front yard party. Fireworks are legal here (pretty crazy since they have been illegal in Redmond where I grew up since I was a kid). We could not believe the fireworks displays going on at this party and around our neighborhood - simply spectacular! Mr. Tate was by far the youngest kid but we had nothing to worry about. There were about 12 tween girls between the ages of 8-13 and to say they LOVED Tate was putting it lightly. They were leading him all over holding his hand, carrying him, playing make-believe something. During the fireworks show every time we turned around he was sitting on a different girls lap, it was so darn cute. We were especially excited to learn most of them babysit! What a fun day!

Adventures with daddy

Last Sunday I hosted a baby shower for my dear friend Aimee Nite with my mom and sister. Todd and Tate had a very active day, they started at one of Tate's favorite spots The Snoqualmie Train Museum and then hiked to Franklin Falls and finished with lunch at another family favorite - The Snoqualmie Pub and Brewery.

And here are a few pictures from the baby shower...
