New Equiptment

I found it on Amazon and I tried to not buy it...but I couldn't resist...and it was worth it. The new yard blower has already provided hours of fun! Every time he uses it he puts the goggles on, "I need to protect my eyes" he says. He always does yard work in the same order, first he mows the lawn then yells to me "I'm going to use my blower now mom", when he's done with that he yells, "I'm going to weed now mom". Let's hope he's still into yard work when he's 16!

My Kind of Camping

Our friends the Busic's were camping for the weekend at the Snoqualmie River Middle Fork, about 40 minutes from our house. They invited us along with our other friends the Hollis's and Compton's but everyone had things going on that evening or the next morning so we couldn't camp overnight but we all went up for the day. We played in the woods and the river and came home to shower and sleep in our own beds. It was the perfect "camping" trip for me!

Summer Fun!

It wouldn't be summer without a trip to the Green Lake wading pool!

Tate and Hudson giving "cheers" over lollypops.

Popsicles in the backyard.

A day at Newcastle Beach Park.

"All Aboard" he was saying.

"I'm so brave mama", he said as he waded into the water.

Pooped after a long day of fun in the sun.

Pizza Time!!

Now that is what I call a pepperoni pizza!

He likes it!

Toddler for Hire!!

Just a few pictures of Tate in action doing what he loves..."I'm going to do some yard work" he says as he heads outside.

This was hilarious, I look out the window and see Tate marching across the lawn with the swifter mop and start using it like a rake over the bark.

Scuba Diver

The past few weeks when we are at home, Tate can be found doing one of two things - playing "scuba diver" or "working in the yard". His interest in scuba divers began over 6 months ago with the movie Finding Nemo. The scene with the scuba divers is his favorite part of the movie. All Seattle Aquarium visits are planned around the diver shows, his favorite part! Very recently, he has been so clever, turning all kinds of things around the house into "diver" costumes. It finally occurred to us to get out Todd's snorkeling mask and fins and Tate has been having a blast with them!

"Listening to the Ocean".

Tate seems to think my resistance band for working out makes the best breathing tube, quite the imagination.

Today Tate started playing with the mask and fins, then stopped and said to me, "I need to put my swim suit on, so I can dive a little bit better".

Adventures in cooking

Grandma Lesley bought Tate a special new apron for cooking and this morning we broke it in and made smoothies for breakfast! The next day we made delicious no bake cookies, he had so much fun and I am thrilled to have a new cooking buddy!
