Friday afternoon...

I heart this photo. Taken moments after waking from a 3 hour afternoon nap. He always gives me the longest sweetest hugs and best cuddles after a good nap and this sounds crazy but I even love the way he smells when he wakes up. It's moments like these that I am so thankful to be able to stay home with him...I can not imagine having to miss these special afternoons...

Putt Putt

Tate has suddenly taking a liking to golf. We're not quite sure where he learned about the sport but he talks about it all the time. It must come from his Miller genes. His Grandpa Miller loves to golf and his cousin Brandon is a "scratch golfer". (I'm not sure what this term means exactly, it's what Todd says but I think it means he's really really good). Todd has taken Tate to the Interbay Golf Course to play putt putt a few times recently and this last Friday evening they invited me to watch.

Weekend Away

This weekend Todd headed to Utah for a dude's ski trip with his good buddies Dan, Allan and Dave. Tate and I took our first plane ride without daddy and spent the weekend in San Francisco with our dear friends Tiffany and Brody who recently located to the Bay Area from Seattle (husband Dave was skiing with Todd). Brody is almost 2 months older than Tate and they have been buddies since Tate was 2 days old. We had the best time and the weather was amazing...73 which felt very warm and wonderful.

I was trying to get Tate to pose at the end of the ramp boarding the plane but he took off running up it.

Ready...Set...Go! The boys ran and ran and raced and played chase for the majority of the weekend.

Brody always has this great smile on his face.

First fat lip! On the first night we were in the lobby of a restaurant and Tate was chasing Brody and tripped doing a face plant. He recovered quickly.

FLASHBACK! I love this picture. This was taken the day we brought Tate home from the hospital. Tate was 2 days old and Brody is almost 2 months. The Coultas Family were our first visitors. Looks like Todd could slide Tate right into his pocket.

Tate has a funny relationship with Bella the dog. He woke up every morning and from nap asking for her and if she wasn't in the room he always wanted to go find her. But if she gave him a kiss...this was the reaction.

Little Gym Graduation

This past Wednesday was the end of our "semester" (4 months) at Little Gym. We go to class once a week and it is by far Tate's favorite activity/class we do. There are plenty of opportunities for running, climbing, jumping...things that Tate just can't get enough of. Each week the class starts with the kiddos sitting on their mom's laps in a circle. The teacher goes around the circle one at a time and asks each child what their name is. They say their name and then get to run to the middle and bang on a tambourine. For the first 8 weeks or so, Tate would stand up and just look down being shy and I had to say his name for him. All of a sudden one day, he jumped up on his own and shouted at the top of his lungs "TATE" and ran to the middle. The entire class knew it was Tate's first time brave enough to do this an everyone applauded him. He's done it every week since.

The Air Track! Once a month the teacher blows up this giant bouncing mat the kids get to jump/run down. Tate always goes crazy!
