Fun in the Seattle Sun!

The Locks

We're spending our last weeks in Seattle soaking in our favorite places. We're doing it all - the Zoo (almost every day this week since our rental house is 2 blocks away), The Science Center, The Aquarium, Salmon Bay Park, Carkeek Park, North Woodland Park, Meridian Park, Golden Gardens and The Ballard Locks...just to name a few. I know that just because we are moving to Snoqualmie, a good 30-40 minutes away (no traffic) doesn't mean we will never visit these places again. We just won't be able to drive 5 minutes to see Peacocks and Gorillas at the zoo, it will just take a little more planning. Here are a few pictures from our quick morning trip to The Ballard Locks.

Trying to take a picture of my handsome child, I can't for the life of me get him to look at the camera and smile and all he wants to do is break the gorgeous flowers...boys!

Zoo Wednesday

We had a great visit at the zoo this morning. It had rained earlier and was cloudy which must have scared off the crowds as we had the place to ourselves. It was perfect, I only wish I had brought my camera as it was great overcast lighting but I was able to snap a few cute pictures with my phone.

What is it with little boys and puddles? They are like magnets. As I was taking this picture he was happily saying "I'm all wet". I should have gotten a close up of his feet, his shoes, socks and jeans up to his knees were soaking wet. Did it slow him down for a second? No way!

This is the first animal I have ever seen Tate show the slightest bit of fear of and it appears he is absolutely terrified of Peacocks! First he hid behind this rock, then took off running!

Where's Daddy?

Someone is getting a little bored with of our one bedroom home we are renting while we wait for our new house to close. He is getting creative, tonight he covered daddy with toys for a good 20-30 minutes.
