Snow!!!

We finally got some snow and not just a little!

Tate is really into "helping" shovel snow with his new small shovel from daddy.

Happy New Years!!

We celebrated New Years Day by spending the morning at the Hyak ski area (Summit East now although I prefer the old name) taking Tate skiing for the first time. Todd walked along with Tate and I took pictures. Tate had a lot of fun which made for a good day for all!

Construction Worker

As mentioned, Tate's favorite Christmas gifts were a construction vest and home depot power drill and tool box from Grandma and Grandpa. He spends hours a day "working" around the house on various projects. He has even insisted on wearing the vest out to several restaurants, to get his hair cut and several grocery store trips. Todd treated himself to a new TV for Christmas. :) So here is Tate pretending to work on the new outlet the electrician installed.

Christmas!!

Christmas morning Todd and I sprung out of bed at 6am when we heard Tate downstairs. We ran down worried he was getting into the presents without us, but he had walked right past the living room/Christmas Tree and gifts (the house was still dark) into the family room and was sitting on the sofa waiting to watch his morning cartoons. It gave us a few minutes to wake up, get the coffee going before we asked him, "Tate, do you remember what day it is today" and his face lit up and he ran around the corner to the living room, "Santa came" he exclaimed!!

I did not do a very good job with Christmas morning photos, we were too busy having fun and taking a lot of video.

Tate's favorite gifts on Christmas morning this year were CAT construction trucks and a Little Tykes basketball hoop from Santa. But his most favorite gifts came from Grandma and Grandpa Shay several days earlier - a Home Depot tool set and construction vest!
